Chemical Peeling

Chemical peeling is a treatment method applied by peeling the upper layer of the skin.

Peeling of the upper layer of the skin provokes new skin formation and a healthier skin look can be provided.

Various fruit acids are used in this treatment. Treatment areas are acne, blemish, anti aging and scar treatments. The effect of sunlight is important in the implementation area and implementation period. After chemical peeling, side effects such as blemishes and color bleaching may occur. Protection from sunlight should be provided after implementation. Repeated sessions may be required for treatment. Number and intervals of sessions depend on the skin condition and percentage of the used acid.

Chemical peeling is the peeling of the skin by using numerous acids by dermatologists. Skin should be analyzed and skin requirements should be determined before chemical peeling application as in all skin treatments.

Chemical peeling is applied in 2 ways as superficial and in-depth:

- Superficial chemical peeling with fruit acids,

- In-depth peeling with phenols and trichloracetic acids

Superficial chemical peeling operations including both AHA and BHA are applied at Sculpture Therapy Center. While it peels off the upper layer of the skin it helps diminishing thin wrinkles (skin rejuvenation).

Implementations to peels of the deeper layers of the skin are used to treat deep blemishes and scars and wrinkles. Trichloracetic acid (TCA) and phenols are applied for this purpose. Implementation depth is determined by configuring the TCA concentration.

Chemical peelings can be used for epidermal superficial peeling implementations with plantal acids such as glycolic acid, lactic acid, salicylic acid and phytic acid. The aim of this peeling implementation is to purify the skin, diminish black spots, provide moisture-sebum balance and stimulate skin cells. Besides it can be used for epidermal blemishes.

Trchloracedic acid peelings are preferred to remove deep blemishes, acne scars or thin wrinkles. Today, TCA peelings have lower percentages and they can provide incredibly pleasant results without any side effects. There is an important detail, patients should make pre-peeling and post-peeling applications at home.
